November News:
This month is a big month in aggressive skating. Right to Roll is on!!!!! 17th/11/07 meeting at SkateBiz 11am. Rumors have it there’s about half a dozen skaters coming from interstate. Will the $1200 prize money go south to Mexico or will it stay above the border? All of the locals can only hope for some bias from the local judges…….This day will be one of the best in street skating across Australia, definitly one not to miss.
New products are arriving every week. First off is the Remz 08 one. This skate looks good stealth and fresh all in one go. Remz has a real strong hold on the local seen in Brisbane but is very popular Australia wide. This skate comes with Ground Control featherlite frames (alloy frame rockers), Remz team wheel 56mm x88a and a super comfortable boot. Remember to fit this boot firm as it does stretch.
Also this month is a more new releases from Sunshine distribution. This time it’s under the Razor banner. Razor has the new Icon skate. It comes with a free Razor Team DVD if purchased in November. It also comes standard with Jug liner, Formula One frames with 8mm axles and 56mm wheel. This skate is tough and very supportive. Over all, another great skate from Razor. The Razor Cult 7 is also in this month. This is the first Cult skate to be a semi soft boot. It fits well, comes in black, black or black and is a great skate to have a bit of fun on. This skate is the cheapest Razor skate on the market with a Razor liner, Razor team frame and of course 56mm wheels. I would mention the bearings, but we all know aggressive skaters trash there bearings in 2 weeks anyway.
NIMH is the new kid on the block. Designed by Shima and Elliott, this skate looks solid. We are expecting it to arrive mid November and look forward to finding out how it fits. I recommend you do the same.
Over the years Skatebiz has customizing, fitting and helping out local skaters. If anyone would like any of the skates customized or boot only, please ask. We are more than happy to swap wheels, frames, upgrade or work out a good package for you.
Rolla mag has also arrived. It has coverage from all over Australia, some decent photo’s from Newcastle and all the latest Australian skate news. It only cheap at $5 and it supports Australian rollerblading.
Redland Bay skate plaza is also nearly finished. For all of the Brisbane rollers, you must get down there. The official opening will be early December but from checking out this week, it’s going to be done a few weeks earlier. This park has a 12 stair rail that’s reasonably mellow, 8 foot bowl with a vert extension/transfer and an amazing street line. The street section is nearly 100m long with ledges, manual pads, stairs and more. This plaza is going to be one of the best in QLD. Would anyone like to have a skate meet there before Christmas? Please email me you thoughts.
Thanks
