"Know Rollerblading" Review by Ben Granero E-mail

knowrollerbladingOk well im sure you already know this dvd is of the present Denial Team and if you have seen
Underestimated you'll know this new team has a tough act to follow. After watching it the first
time, i wasnt too impressed maybe it was the bland editing or the intro song being a little
understimulated. But after watching it over and over for a week i noticed that most the tricks are actually REALLY good. They should have called THIS dvd "Underestimated".

Anyway it starts of with a nice intro and some big tricks from each member like Jon Jon Bolino, Eric Shrijn, Chris Shaw, Jon Shmidt, Jeremy Spira, Willie Trebach,Mark Wodja, Ross Anthony and Montre Livingston.

The first section was Jon Jon Bolino a new up and comer pullin some pretty amazing tricks thatll leave you saying "oh that was sick" all through out the section. I have to point out that his song choice was something id expect to hear in a tom bartley section, has that kinda feel to it, No i dont know what its called.

Jon Shmidt is alot smoother than he was in opinions and genre. Hes still a bad ass that knows how to jump big gaps and full cab tru soul a down ledge. Impressive!

The montage of course features alot the local talent in all the cities that were filmed in. Stand out tricks were a few steazy switch ups by Chris Moroco and a 360 torque to soul to back torque on a flat rail by trevor johnson.

Willie Trebach had a good section, hes also the love child of Gonzo and Aragon. Brought back
the truspin kindgrind!. And alot more sick tricks like a bunch of Acid variations on his RAZORS, he loves his down rails too. Ross Anthonys section was nice and smooth, showing alot of soul and ao soul variations.

Another stand out section worth mentioning was Jeremy Spira. A bit of a taller, smoother Brent Hicks type of skater, his grinds are perfect and he grabs all this tricks.
Montre Livingston gave the final performance skating with no fear this kid can spin in and out of any grind. 540 Soyales on down rails are hard! The switch ups he does are out of this world.

Cheers for reading...
