The Truth DVD review by Ben Granero

Made by the Kelso Brothers and Austin Paz.

The DVD starts with a track from Rage against the machine and previews alot of tricks that are then one-upped later in the dvd. Theres alot of clips from the |B| Unique crew (minus aragon), a few up and coming Philly locals and also theres a few appearances from Erik Bailey, Soichiro Kanashima, Dominic Sagona, Jeff Stockwell and more...

The first section is of Sean Kelso...besides doing more tricks and switchups i could only dream of, this guy put most of them in lines...this section isnt as BIG as his recent parts but his technicality certainly shows you why he has a pro skate.

Austin Paz is up next and has cleaned up his style alot more in this section...towards the start i came to the conclusion that he loves he's Alleyoop topsouls but then showed he had alot more tricks up his sleeve than i had thought.

Franco Cammayo had a not so bad section. There is alot of the same kind of tricks but at the same time he skates really fast so theyre pretty cool to watch, especially his last trick...

One word comes to mind when i watched this next section... 'STYLE' 'STYLE' 'STYLE'....im talking about Colin Kelso. This section is definatly one of my favourites of the dvd. Theres lots of smooth lines, unique switchups and a real good mix of music....

Another style monkey, Chris Cheshire known for his flawless technical skating finally delivers a section after waiting so long since OPINIONS (i think it was). Its definatly a section i could watch over and over.

Billy "Fish" O'Neil has the last profile of the DVD showing he can skate technical and throw down a few big hammers as well....

The Outro features alot more of phillys unknown rollers and more clips from the everyone that had a section...The music is all mostly hiphop but suits the style of everyone in it...The whole dvd is edited really well and most of it is crazy tech skating with a few hammers thrown in...

BONUS sections...
There is a few online edits you may have seen up on rollernews before, but the stand out sections are the 2007 LG World Champs Highlights which shows alot of runs from the event and also there is a section with unseen clips from 'Checkmate' the recent |B| Unique DVD which left my jaw dragging on the ground.

I give 'The Truth' a 7 out of 10...

- Ben.
