Hello all,

The mini mayhem 3 vs 3 tournament was a great success. To all the participants that played and made the event very entertaining to watch, we would like to thank you. To billy crumm, garnet Radford, sue bale and the rest of the IHQ family, dave emblem, the acacia ridge rink, the southern stars, the downes family, bluetongues players jonny, brad and cam, the men helping out cooking snags on the bbq. A very big thank you to all. I think this shows that if we all work together we can accomplish great things like this. It was so nice to come out of the rink and see all the players and families enjoying themselves together. Lots of smiles on peoples faces!!

As for the hockey, the kids gave it their all. We split the ice in two halves, running two 5 minute games simultaneously. We had 9 teams of three players and four goalies who got the workout of their lives. Each team had 6 to 7 games plus the top four teams got the extra game to decide the winner of the competition. The teams were ,

The final games were determined by who had the best record. So the “A” final had to be battled out between the kings and the redwings that beat out the Blackhawks by their goals for during the round robin. The “B” final was the Blackhawks vs. the Penguins. The “A” final had lots of excitement from net to net and also some great goaltending from both Novysedlak and Sand. The redwings took out the final with a great team effort and solid goaltending. Congratulations to Luke Moore, Ashleigh Sitton, Matthew De Beer and Nicholas Novysedlak for taking out the first annul SkateBiz mini mayhem tournament. I’m sure the boys will enjoy spending their 25 dollar gift certificate at SkateBiz. The rest of the stats will be available through the SkateBiz website
