Hello All, After the Grizzlys Club committee meeting next Tuesday night your fees for playing in a competition for the winter season will be finalised, and registration forms will be due by the 29 February or your first time on the ice to play a sanctioned game, whichever is the earlier.
Our plans this year are to continue with the Monday night Gold Coast Hockey League with 4 teams. In principal the four teams will nominate their certain starters for the team, and then there will be a draft amongst the four team managers for the balance of players who have registered to play. If there is not enough spots for the number of registrations we will look to get sanctioned a GCHL Div 2 which will include those players missing out, previous Senior B players who do not have a team to play on this year, players from drop in who also want a sanctioned game with a referee in place, age restricted and ability based juniors, Div 3 players from 2 Gold Coast teams who have nominated to play in the IHQ comp this winter with 50/50 split of games in Brisbane and the Coast (great effort to get two teams from the Gold Coast in IHQ comp!!). Our goal would be to get enough numbers for two teams, three would be fantastic.
Juniors are going to be loosley based on Junior A (Bantams and Migets), B(Pee Wee) and C(atom). Club based for B and C ie Grizzlys, Stars and Bucs. Junior A will be a draft and based out of Brisbane only. We would aim to fill a Junior B and C team in a IHQ comp that would be based on 50/50 games in Brisbane and Gold Coast.
So our aim is to provide an organised game of hockey for everyone this winter!
Now to help you pay for your hockey this winter you can help support our locally based Gold Coast Blue Tongues by taking up one of the sponsorships attached....remember 10% of all monies generated will go towards paying for your ice fees this winter.
To help your efforts, copy and paste the message below and email it to all potential sponsors..builders, suppliers, tradesman, lawyers accountants, finance brokers, real estate agents, butchers, and then follow up with them...MAKE SURE YOU/THEY PUT YOUR NAME ON THE FORM FOR 10% CREDIT!! You can also print out the attachment and go see those people mentioned above face to face! Remember it can all start with you...even with the CLUB 500...and $50 will go to your ice fees...that's probably your first 4 games!!!

Our first Australian Ice Hockey League team on the Gold Coast is only a couple of months from starting!!!
We can assure you the viewing will be fast, exciting, and the atmosphere in the 'Lizard Pit' will be electric!!! It is after all the fastest team game on earth!
Our imports (6) from overseas have been finalised and locked in to join our locally based players, and the Club is expecting nothing less than a National Championship. The move from Brisbane to the Gold Coast will prove to be an absolute winner!
Our major sponsors have been confirmed with naming rights being taken up by Bartercard, and major sponsorships going to Melbas on the Park, Hatch Engineering, Iceland, Efron Group along with Magic Mountain taking up the Official Accommodation sponsorship.
We are now embarking on the last of our sponsorship drive with Import and Signage Sponsorships still available along with our Club 500.
Please email me back to confirm receipt of this email, and confirm your particpation, and acknowledge which form of payment will suit you best ie. cheque, direct deposit, or creditcard.
We we will send you out a confirmation letter with all the details of your sponsorship and a tax invoice for your records.
I can assure you everyone you take to a game, particularly those that have not seen a live game will be awed by the experience of watching the 'Blue Tongues' and ice hockey!!
