Toy Machine "Suffer the Joy" film Review

By; Rob Madden

Earlier in the year I called up Pete at Goliath and asked him if we could run a premiere for the latest Toy Machine vid ‘Suffer the Joy" in Brissy. He was more than happy to let us get our maulers on what turned out to be an epic video fuelling a crazy premiere.

If you have checked out our site recently, or the Toy Machine site recently, you would’ve seen some of my photos from the very night, the aisles of the cinema were as full as the crew’s stomachs with alcohol. Pre and post premiere, the heads took over the streets, standing out in traffic, all over the footpath and in the foyer of the cinema. They then took over the nearby bars while the underage kids took over the city’s street spots. ‘Suffer the Joy’ got everyone on their most ruckus behaviour because it ruckuses skateboarding.

The video kicked off with a killer intro and didn’t slow down, it just kicks on without any interruptions and features some of the gnarliest skateboarding anyone could offer, the crowd responded and shook the cinema throughout, but especially when ‘new toy guy’ Nick Trapasso started skating………..simply amazing.

Nick, Diego and J-Lay stood out for mine, but you can never go past Ed, Billy and Josh and Matt Bennett who bought some unique tricks to some monster rails. So, in essence, I guess what I am trying to say is that the vid slaughtered and everyone should purchase it so they don’t regret missing out on awesomeness (I should write the next Toy ad). It’s $50.00 from biz.
