2005 saw the definitive recognition of FILA Skates as the most technological and innovative brand driving the pace of change on the market. Unrivalled in the Racing segment, the new Marathon line has proven its ability to meet the most exacting demands of distance skating enthusiasts. The new exclusive Women on Wheels line provides female skaters with a product designed specifically around their needs. For the first time on the market the Junior range has been differentiated for boys and girls with specific colours. And, with the innovation of the year, "Active Steering Technology", we've brought a major change and new dynamism to the inline skating world. This is the first time a steerable inline skate has been available commercially. Active Steering Technology makes it possible to skate in comfort and at higher speeds, thanks to the use of large diameter wheels, without sacrificing any of the manoeuvrability and agility associated with smaller wheels.
The Fila 2006 collection consolidates the basic concepts presented in the previous season. Active Steering Technology is now available on products on marketed at a more affordable price point. The Women on Wheels family has been extended to satisfy more skaters. The entire product range has been completely updated.
