On Saturday the 10th of May the Capalaba Skatebiz held there 1st BBQ at the redlands skate plaza. The snags and onion were cookin by 3pm with a solid turnout of people of all ages. I dont know what it is about the smell of a BBQ at a skatepark that puts everyone in skate mode but it just does. I witnessed switch heels and switch kickfips down a double set. Countless smooth lines along the ledge strip, and our newest an youngest tem rider Anthony Bull throwing down a feeble 180 out on the 8 stair rail. After a solid skate session everyone had a good feed and a laugh and started talking up the next BBQ day which will be held at Thornlands on saturday 14/6/08 All round it was a great day I thought nothing really tops a BBQ or a good days skate so throw these 2 together and the dream session begins.
