Elan Skatebiz Paddo jam writeup E-mail
Written by Skatebiz

The rain held off long enough on Friday for us to get through our Elan and Skatebiz Paddo Jam.  It was a good thing that it did, crew showed from all over Brissy to take some cash and proddy.

Nate Kitten, Big Josh, Kyle O’Keefe, Harry Moll and Dallas took out prizes in the open division for a bunch of crazy stuff across the park.  Nate pulled his favourite nollie bigspin revert on the quarter, Josh’s switch trickery on the handrail, which included sw f/s and b/s feeble was a treat, Kyle’s crooks across and down, kicky crooks and pop shove nose grind on the rail were all ridiculous, Harry had kicky’s both ways out of f/s tailslides on the ledge and Pedro forced Dallas through a biggy front board and rewarded him accordingly.

Cash prizes were shared by Tommy Fynn, James Briody and Dave Harris, who pretty much put on a demo, they did way to much stuff across the park to list it all, but noteable gnarliness included James’ MASSIVE tre flip over the hip and ludicrously stylish pop shove it reverts way above the coping, Dave’s huge f/s flip d on the quarter, b/s 360 rock and roll and ollie from flat to tailslide on the quarter were all mind boggling and Tommy’s kicky crooks across the whole rusty as hell ledge as well as a first try kicky back tail were a pleasure to watch.

Other props need to be given to Pedro for his MCing, JJ for the documentation, all and everyone who turned up and shredded and/ or supported, Sarge and Nicole for there continued support (next time you see them, thank them for the pizzas) and the rain for holding out long enough for a bit of end of working week fun.

Keep and eye out for a clip for JJ.
