FOUNDATION: CATACLYSMIC

ABYSS
THE PREMIERE

Saturday night saw the latest installment in DVD premieres with Skatebiz, Goliath Industries and Foundation coming together to put on another memorable movie screening. With pre-screening drinks and nibbles unofficially held at Jackpot Noodles across from the biz (see attached photos) it was on the Metro Arts Cinema for the main event. A full house of roughly 150 skateboarding hooligans packed in with drinks a plenty to see one of the most unhyped movie releases of the year. Cataclysmic Abyss is the bangers and mash in a market full of three course dinners. It is dead set meat and potatoes stuff that never gets boring and is defiantly good for your health. Don Nguyen and Gareth Stehr were fast and creative and Angel Ramirez was flowing those young legs across the field. Tommy Gurrola, Sierra Fellers and Matt Allen all had quick parts full of hammers and pure steez. What can I say about Corey Duffel, Mike Rusczyk and Ethan Fowler? The three oldest guys on the team, with the best, most creative parts of the video. If you were there, you would have known the hype on that massive frontside ollie(Duffel), that amazing pivot fakie line(Rusczyk) and of course that famous or rather infamous backside 360 of good ol’ Ethan!

All in all, a great night was had, everyone got to see a full length DVD for $2, and the beer was flowing! Honourable mentions go to Rob Madden and the Metro arts theatre for allowing us to house 150 ruckus yobos, and also cleaning up after them all.
