It’s been two years since we held our last High Ollie Comp and Jamie from Kewday and I decided it was time to resurrect what was at least for two years an annual thing. In the past Dennis Durrant and Dave Harris had taken it out and gotten cash and a mother load of grog for their troubles.
This year Kewday and Skatebiz but there pockets together to give first prize some cash and to get the runner up some boards to roll on. We ran it on the back of the ES game of skate at coops to make sure we got all the contenders there. There were couple of dark horses there that pushed Battle to the win. Greg Barnes was with young Dave all the way to the winning 90cm mark but just couldn’t get over it; Battle flew over it and took the cash, Greggy getting the boards. Honourable mentions got to Kaz, Tommy Fynn, Timmy Regard, who to my surprise has grown and grown some monster pop, PIP did well too. Good on all the lads that had a go, especially with tired legs after a day of playing S.K.A.T.E. Thanks to all involved.
