So much rad skating at Paddo on Friday, not like there isn't every Friday, but this time the lads and ladies got paid to do so. Elan and Skatebiz had close to a grands worth of prize money and some boards to give away. Tricks for cash included; - Terry Flaskos smashed massive bs flip melon and bs bigspin tailgrabs over the funbox - Aaron Rowe bs noseblunt nollie 360'd back in on the quarter and booted huge 270 nosebones over the hip - Sam Goodall got a barley grind, frontside hurricane and back tail out straight down the rail and earned himself some drinking money - Michael Rogers worked for a fs nollie switch crooks and switch crooks and got some cash and a board for his efforts - Ben Ventress cut stylish lines around the park all day long with a tre flip over the stairs into the foam, a bs smith shuv on the ledge and a fs 5-0 shuv on the ledge to boot. - Regard wallied off the back of the halfpipe into the foam - Battlecat kickied off the top of the wedge to flat (so big) first shot and styled out a nollie bigspin nosepick - Mitchell Carey CROOKS POP OVER across the rail into the bank and 5-0 across and down - Mitchypoo sped through a nollie lipslide 50-50 on the block - Izzy Mutu got called out to nail a fakie inwards heelflip on the bank 'next shot' for a board, she rose to the challenge and snatched it and the last prize with style - Seargent Matty roughed it out with a 50-50 down the log next to the bank (nice call bluntie) and grabbed $50.00 - Tim from Darwin (really sorry mate, can't remember your surname) noseblunted the steep side of the block and popped in to nose manny down - Davo De klerk committed to a tre flip into the bank and hucked nollie hardflips and nollie frontside flips on the bank - Lil' Sam manned up with a pop shuv nosegrind down the rail and recieved enough money to buy himself a shitload of tuckshop - Finally Darren Durrant came through with what a lot of people were hailing trick of the day, a switchstance kickflip fs noseslide down the ledge, ooh man it was good, full ninja. Massive thanks from skatebiz to all the crew for coming out and ripping it for our cash. Thanks to Kane for helping me lug all the stuff down to the skatepark. Thanks to Vinyl for manning the barbeque, Matty for providing the bbq and Team Paddo for being chilled. Thanks heaps to elan for the prizes, the boards are dope and the crew were psyched, it was rad to have Andy Walker, the man behind elan at Paddo, one of his old stomping grounds for the event. Cheers |
