Miniramp session at Beenleigh....

We piled onto the cars around 3 hoping to meet up with a bunch of mates that I sent the text msg too in aid of a big ramp session on the new Beenleigh Mini.. beenliegh1

Well, we call it a mini but as you can see from the photo's it's rather large. Stretching 12 panels wide at one end and  6 over the spine and other end, this ramp is well made and with some wax, slides great. Also incorporating a sub box at 2 levels, 4ft and 6ft....

Skating mini has been out of fashion for quite some time leavin a lot of skaters missing tricks and saying "jeez im buggered". It is true, this ramp does take it out of you. We ended up having around 15 skaters turn up and then all street rats just ended up skating the fat poles...

beenliegh6

All the older guys saw the ramp as a blessing cause we've waited for several years for something like this to be built. Myself, Paul, Matt R, Z German and Ben G tried our hardest to rip up the coping. Ben with some crazy switch-up's is now classed as a local, Paul wallriding and airing the ramp, Snaz with big front torque's and Marian z german with true fishes, long fishbrains and truetop acids....The street boys were grinding everything in sight finishing with Matt S doing quarter to quarter wallride..The first one on skates ever....peep the photo, it's far with really bad tar run-up.

All the fun happened on the way home with Pauls car busting a hose in RiverFire traffic on the M1 stranding us waiting for a towtruck...Getting a short tow to Greenslopes after about an hour we left Paul with the car then proceeded to skate!!, yes that's right, Swami , Marian and I skated from there, past coops, the Gabba only getting to the story bridge and having waiting them to open it up. Finally opening after an hour we skated right down the middle lane with no cars..(first time) then weaving our way through peak hour down the valley mall and home to Herston.....I have to say my wheels held up ok.....Such a mission just to get home around 9pm.....
Thanks for all skaters that came, anyone for next week??
