Matt:  So Mr Benjamin Granero, tell me why did you start skating??????

Ben:  My skateboard wasn’t fast enough…….

Matt:  And how long have you been on the wheelie shoe bad boys????

Ben:  Around a solid tasty decade…..

Matt:  Okay, so lets just throw it out there for no-one in the know, who are you fave skaters Mr Aragranero????

Ben:  Lets see…..the Prince of course….Mr Matt Salerno…(wait iTUNES is killing me …change the track…), uhhh…Chris Cheshire and Dom Sagona

Matt:  So what are your fave tricks right now?????

Ben:  Truespin topacids…And backslide 270 toppys 360 out on smooooooth quarters..

Matt:  So who are you repping right now????

Ben:  As of today the best skateshop in Aus….SKATEBIZ and the ever fresh JUG footwear and my weapon of choice RAZORSKATE …

Matt:  Okay, Mr Mr Granny, what is your fave place that you shred????

Ben:   The Gap Bowls, and the ahhhhm, god bless its soul the shed in melbs...which I just heard was shutdown.

Matt:  So my boy, I know you are quite the cheddar cheddar park killer, what is next on the cards for you in skating, lets say new trick wise??????

Ben:   Well, I am not a big gap skater, but I have discovered a gap in Nerang, stay tuned for a big maybes RAZORS rolla mag ad…

Matt:  Ha, Mr benny, stealing spots of mine…hahahaha, so what are you going to lace over this epic piece of twisted stunt?????

Ben:   I’ll take a shot of a 180 only if its landed….no fakes mr matt…..

Matt:  So I sense a bit of a street comeback….(Matt is frothing, so sick of skating park…haha)…Is this actually a Mr Benjamin Granero street comeback or a tease of the tongue????

Ben:  (While sipping on the wildest of turkeys)..We’ll see which way the wind blows….

Matt:  So, what do you think of rollerblading in Brisbane and how all of a sudden we have more than 40 or so skaters, strapping up on a Wednesday night and skating a dull park in the rain????

Ben:   That said, I think that’s 40 or so rollers that I’ll be sessioning with and hanging out with for the years to come….

Matt:  My heart just went all goey and shhhhtufff…Nice words…Okay, lets get a little personal, what is playing on your iPOD right now???

Ben:  Right now, a bit of Led Zepplin, Pink floyd, Boys Noize, Van She tech, The Smiths, and a lot of underground electro remixes stolen from youtube….

Matt: So who are your boys right now that you skate with?????

Ben:   You of course, Mr Thomas Bartley, Lachlan Hayes, Raymond Thomas, ANGUS, Aaron Crowther (killer spins), on and on the list goes on and on ….and so many more rad peeps that roll up here…

Matt:  Okay, Mr Benjamin so tell me about your recent venture to the states and your experience at HOEDOWN?????

Ben:    It was nuts, I was like a child in a candyshop, every Pro I could think of was there…I got one hurricane back shifty in on the ole launch to ledge and then flagged skating and went straight for my camera…(I still see Benny chuckling like a grom whilst saying this)

Matt:  Okay, we hit the age ole depressing downer end of an interview, who do you thank for helping you out in life as a rollerblader?????

Ben:   To start off with, Bill Vertucci at MANLY blades my first sponsor, the cool cats at BONDI BOARDS AND BLADES, Neil at RED distribution, Mr Shtannoo (Matt Stansfield) for more things I can think of right now (and the champers), Mr Dean Tully at SKATEBIZ for helping me realise that I am a solid part of skating in QLD and Australia…

(Interview conducted @ 2.07am on Saturday Jan 13th by two silly drunken lads, bubbled off their chops on champers, {young boys do not look up to us})  a few clips of this steezy  chap...
